Tape transport is sluggish / fails to rewindInternally the VCR contains many drive belts which are used in the mechanics of tape transport. | No colour on playback | Faulty pilot burst cleaner IC203. |
| Drum motor continues running after eject | Check 12v supply rails for power leakage. Check D998 (TV/VCR switch panel) for short circuit. |
| Not recording picture, Q404/405 not working | Incorrect transistor bias due to leaky C419. |
| Record button releases during timer recordings | Check R619 is 330K. Earlier versions used 150K here and require upgrading to higher value. |
