The SL-800ME is a truly world wide multi-standard Betamax. It contains three tuners which allow it to receive PAL, SECAM and NTSC signals. This means it is suitable for use in European countries, Japan, USA, South Africa and some North African countries as well. It also has a 4-tip video head which means it can record and playback in PAL, SECAM and NTSC modes Beta II and III. This is one of the best featured Multi system Betamax models available.

The SL-800 was produced in many different colours, e.g. gold, black and silver. It is a modern looking VCR and has lasted well.
