First of all a hello to everyone on this forum.

Now, here's my problem. We have recently aquired a UVW-1400P. It was used before but the heads were replaced and it came to us with 0 drum hours.My problem though is related to the LTC.Whenever I try to record something, the player just writes new TC and it's quite eratic as evey time it starts at random time such as... 00:25:13:22 or 12:44:15:04. Also, blanking tapes with preset timecode sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Even if I manage to blank tapes with the timecode I set, whenever I hit record again the beta starst writting new timecode. Now, I have been told that there's some sort of battery that concerns the LTC generator, still TC is supposed to be generated on the fly so a battery that would help "remembering" a certain timecode so this battery thing makes little sense to me.

A BVW-40 will NOT record on metal tapes, only oxide tapes marked 'betacam'

hi there, i have just bought a tascam tmd 8000, with a motu 2408 mk2, the audio in cubase sx works great. but i want to remote cubase sx via my tmd8000 via midi can i do this, because i have tried so many times?

I'm new to Betacam, and just purchased a BVW-40, which the seller assured me is in good working order, though I can't seem to get it to record. I love the way it plays, but I really need to get it to record. I'm hoping some generous individual will help me discover either what I'm doing wrong or if the machine doesn't record.

Hi,I need to connect Sony UVW1600 Beta SP player to a PC running Premier Pro on WinXP.-I need advice on card,I need to transfer/capture the video from the Beta SP tapes to the harddrive.Sound and time code are not important. All I need is good quality video footage.The final destination for the footage is output to DVD

Question - I have a Sony UVW 100 that I am trying to use a 26pin to YUV component breakout cable but I'm getting squat.I've checked the pin config, tried with sync without, but still no joy.I;ve used a 26pin to 26pin into a ccu and get a good picture but as I don't have a spare ccu lying around (the tester is for another camera) I 'm stuck.

Anyone got any ideas ?
