Advice needed regarding viefinder playback on a Sony APK327/PVV1AP. I am new to betacam having just upgraded from pro super vhs ( funds obviously limited!!!). When I playback a recording in the pvv1p, in the viewfinder I see random black horizontal flecks and occasional picture jumping and wondered if this is normal. When the tape is played on a friends uvw-1600p picture seems OK. Also if I connect a monitor to the camera bnc output I seem to be missing one of the three colours although recorded colour is OK.

Any comments would be gratly appreciated, Cheers, Paul.

Hi, hoping someone can help. Need some info on how the internal hard discs are formatted in a DNW-A100p (or DNW-A45/50). How do you format them? Has anyone used 'non sony' replacements? They have to be 68pin wide hv differential. Just curious. I know these machines are a bit old hat now and were superceded by the DNW-A75 (no internal storage). Is anybody still using these machines? They were supposed to be a cost effective alternative to digibeta (SX=18MBS and digi =90MBS).

I got a tape stuck in my deck Error02-603. I've freed the tangle, but dont know how to get it to eject now. The error message remains printed on the panel and refuses to respong to any other button. What do i do? Is there some sort of a reset button?Appreciate your help!
