I have a couple of sanyo 9300 one works great but the other one has a swithing line that runs up from the bottom of the screen about 1 hour into the tape [on replay of course]when it gets near the centre of the screen the picture becomes all noise , so the heads must be switching at the wrong time , I'v tried cleaning the heads , swapped the servo board but with no sucess, has anyone any ideas, Many thanks in advance

Hi Everyone,My Bvv5 is showing 'slack' and refuses to lace up or do anything rather than eject.The motors are fine as when I wind the laceup manually it plays for about 10 seconds and unlaces and ejects.

I noticed a small microswitch behind the cassette cage, looking at it closely it doesn’t seem to have a 'button' on the top where the armature closes/opens on it. Can anyone tell me if this switch is magnetic with no moving parts or has something fallen off!

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

This machine is in good working order producing EXCELLENT BROADCAST quality pictures.This is the later machine with the more advance TBC 12/DEC 42 boards fitted. Heads have been measured for penetration and read 18 microns , so should be ok for at least another 1500 hours. I have a DSR-570WSP , I need to know if there is a way to make the output Audio from ch.1/2 rear mic to be stereo (i.e. R/L for each channel)

Can anybody help me with the problem on my BVW-75P ? When in play mode, the picture is steady and when in DT mode at normal play speed, the picture is again steady. But when I move from play to shuttle (normal playback speed), the picture makes a very slight vertical shift upwards (about 3mm on my 20" monitor). Then when I go back to the play button, again there is a 3mm vertical shift downwards.

Does anyone have any ideas of the tweak to rectify this.

What is the the range of a betacams vu meter?

This is the first time that I have used this site and I may be in the wrong place for asking a technical question. My apologies if that is the case. However, I have a BVW-75 and it has behaved perfectly for many years but there is a small anoying fault that has cropped up. Everything else works fine but when the machine is in play mode and then changed to Shuttle (DT) mode or still mode, there is a very slight verticle shift of the whole picture. DT and slomo plays OK but again when the play button is pressed, there is another verticle shift to the picture. The shift is slight (on my 20" monitor the shift is probably only about 3 centremetres. Does anyone have any advice on the tweak to rectify this. Many thanks and best wishes Gerald
