Betamax PALsite is the prodigy of Alan Barnett
and Martin Evans both of whom are avid Betamax supporters in the UK.
Martin owns a SL-C9 and SLO-1700 and Alan has a SL-HF950 and SL-F1 to name
a few. Both Martin and Alan have considerable experience maintaining
and servicing Betamax machines.
PALsite has been built up over time and is dedicated to supporting and
promoting the Betamax format. It aims to provide a comprehensive
source of Beta related information with particular reference to the PAL
models. It is non-commercial and is run on a good will basis.
All original material is © Alan Barnett and Martin Evans
unless stated otherwise and should not be used without permission.
PALsite first went on line in April 1997 at
http://www.dickie.demon.co.uk/betamax/ and shortly afterwards moved to
http://www.elektratec.demon.co.uk occupying webspace
donated by Elektratec and Bob Armstrong (aka G8SPE). In December
1998 PALsite moved to it's own domain and became
www.PALsite.com and
www.PALsite.org. In september 1999
www.PALsite.co.uk was also aquired, followed by
PALsite.info in 2001.
PALsite's Betamax Chat Page is hosted by Richard Fincher's ROOM 101.
Help PALsite Alan and Martin are always pleased to hear from fellow Betamax fans. Please feel free to contact us any time and if we can help we
will. Contributions to PALsite are most welcome and will be included
with pleasure. Many thanks go to Colin McCormick, Noel Higgins, David Hayes, Harri Asunta,
John Fabianski, John McCabe, James Copp-Taylor and Hamid Khan for their
help.
Due to the large amount of SPAM email that we receive, it is advisable to first contact us by submitting a solution on one of the model's "tech" pages. We will spot the entry and get in contact with you (please leave a contact email).
