Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone could take the time out to send me a e-mail or leave a message here as to what exactly is the problem with the UVW series of camera?, They don't seem to get much of a good opinion on here from what i've read. The reason being was that i'm eventually going to update my format from U-Matic (yes some people still use it...) and i was wondering what the UVW100 was like, as BetacamSP is now starting to slip into the "affordable for enthusiasts" column, obviously i have a idea that because the UVW100 was the budget model when it was new, it may well be in the realms of affordable now.

Can anyone tell me what they are like as i'm trying to compare the UVW100 to Hi8 PRO,Plus does anyone know how much a PAL UVW100 fetches in the UK now, as the only site i've seen them on for sale has had them on there a while, which i don't think is reflective of the price now.

Firstly i need to upgrade the software (from vers 1) but theres an audio mod (hardware) that needs to be done first, anyone know what it involves?
