Overview
The BMC500 was the first CCD Betamovie recorder. Sony claimed to incorporate 291,000
pixels into the CCD ( chargeCoupled Device )
module which was ahead of its time. The unit also incorporated On Screen Graphics
which could be seen through the view finder or burnt on to tape.
The unit wieghed 2.5kg which was the same as it predecessor the
BMC200 but it was much smaller.
